Strollers

Anyone have a stroller recommendation?  I am considering the Bumbleride Indie or the Valco runabout, but I am open to any suggestions as well.

Things to consider (let me know if there are other things to think about too!):

  • I have a Graco Snugride carseat.
  • I live in Wicker Park and as of now, we only have 1 car (that "dad" will be using for work.)
  • We live in a condo, so space may be an issue.  We do have an elevator, at least!
  • I am probably going "back-to-back" with the kiddies, if it is in the stars for us.
  • I am only 5'2" (but my husband is over 6")

Thanks!

Re: Strollers

  • Start with the Snap-n-go, trust me!  Get the one w/ the adjustable handle.

I have a Teutonia and love it for longer walks- but going in and out of stores, restaurants, etc. in the city (I like in Bucktown/Logan Square)- I end up bringing the Peg Aria stroller instead.

  • And don't forget to check craigslist- many times you can find a high-end stroller on there for cheaper and the parents barely used it.
  • I love the Orbit!

    i am loving craigslist!

  • We have a Bugaboo and love it so far, esp. since it's like 3 strollers in one. The Graco snugride snaps into it easily (the adapter costs extra though), we love the bassinet for long walks, and then there's the seat when he's big enough to stand up. I know they're pricey but you can usually find them significantly discounted on craigslist.

  • Any opinions on the Uppababy Vista?  Also, are there any car seats that are made specifically for the Uppababy frame?

  • I have the UPPA Baby Vista and love it! ?You can buy the car seat adaptor for the Graco Snugride (thats the car seat that I have too). ?The only drawback is that the rear wheels are kind of wide and can sometimes be tricky to manuever. ?They also sell some add ons so you can fit additional children on the stroller.
  • Thanks for commenting on the UPPA baby Vista - we have already decided that we're going to get it with the Graco Snugride - so excited about it!!
