So sore from ER!

I am so sore from my ER this a.m.!  I took some Tylenol and have been using a heating pad this afternoon which has helped a little bit.  Responding to the Tylenol and heating pad makes me think that my OHSS is ok and hasn't worsened.  I guess I just didn't think I'd be this sore.  I do have mild OHSS so is the pain related to the OHSS, the nature of the ER or a combination?  Is being moderately uncomfortable the day of your ER normal? I don't seem any more bloated and my urine output has been good so I don't think my OHSS has worsened yet.  I guess I don't know when I should be worried if the pain is from OHSS.

  • I was moderately uncomfy day of ER, but it worsened for me the next day and I was really uncomfy.  I think it was mainly from the procedure and then bloating If you just balloon up, feel nauseous, have sudden weight gain, shortness of breath, those are all serious indications of OHSS.  Drink your gatorade and keep your sodium intake up...assuming your RE tells you to do that like mine.
  • Is your pain from cramping? If so that's totally normal.

I had OHSS too (mild) and felt like total crap for days, but that was more nausea/bloat. The cramping went away after a day or so.

  • I was really sore and uncomfy the day of ER.  It was really really bad in the evening and I ended up calling the on call doctor.

I hope yours doesn't get that bad.  Rest up and feel better soon.

  • I was very sore after ER. I had my ER on Sat A.M. and I stayed on the couch for entire Saturday and Sunday.

I'm sorry you're feeling uncomfortable, but I hope you get a good fert report and a great ET!

  • I'm sorry you're sore!

I'm always sore the day of ER and even a day or two afterwards. I think there's just a lot going on in that region! The mild OHSS probably doesn't help - just keep following your RE's instructions on how to manage it and you'll hopefully be fine.

    hang in there!!

  • I was VERY sore. DH set up the blow up mattress downstairs b/c I could hardly walk up the stairs to go to bed.  I remember it felt like my body was ripped in half. I think it lasted two days after ER as well, but got a little better with each day.
  • I was moderately uncomfortable too the day of ER. It got better by the 2 days post ER, to the point that I got out in the yard to work. Then came back full force after ET. Good luck and hope you feel better soon.
