Nesting instinct has kicked in!!

H is away for the next 2 days so my friend is coming over to help me clean and organize.  She is a neat freak like me!

She is going to help do a super vacuum and get into places I can't reach or bend to get lol. And dust of course.  And we are going to go through drawers and cabinets.  Hopefully get rid of lots of stuff and make things more neat!  I'm so thankful she is coming to help me.  H would have no patience for it.

We are also going to do some planning of where to put some shelves and baby storage.

Is it pathetic that I am sooo excited about this??? Big Smile

    No way!  The last two weekends (last one, especially), I went through this BIG TIME.  It was so bad, I found myself at 1a.m. hammering down the thresholds... (You know the silver strips that separate linoleum from carpet) to make sure all the nails were secure.

     I hung pictures that hadn't been hung in six months (since we moved in), etc.

     It felt GREAT!  Hope you both have a ball doing it!

    I wish I could get motivated to start cleaning like that.  I'm just so tired all the time.  Waah!

    DH and I did this this past weekend.  The room for the baby was just a storage area for all our crap.  We spent 2 days cleaning.  We threw away 4 bags of garbage and I donated 3 bags of stuff to Goodwill.  We also pawned a bunch of old electronics, sold some books and sold stuff on Craigslist.  We now have a nursery fund started for when we find out the sex.  It feels good to get started on something.

    Can you send your friend to my house when she's done?!?!  I could sure use the help, lol!

    My nesting has slowed down some and it sucks!  Enjoy it while you have it - and the friend's help!

    My mom is coming to visit next week and she plans to spend the first two days cleaning my house from top to bottom!  I can't wait, though I do feel guilty that I'll be at work most of the time she's cleaning.  I actually wish I could stay home and clean, it would feel so good!

    This makes me really want to be motivated to clean! Emotionally I am... physically, I get home from work and want to take a nap! :) Good luck with your nesting!
