DD must not feel good at all

She has been sleeping a lot and wanting to snuggle all the time. There has been tons of crying also. Our best guess is that she is having an awful time teething right now.

She has been out on my lap for 2 1/2hrs now. Mama has to go potty little girl. I may be brave and put her in her crib since no one is home and if she crys no one can give me nasty looks. Her normal naps are half an hour to an hour.

  • Poor lil' girl.  :(  DS has been a bit of a crankster, too.  Uber clingy with me when I'm home and just a bit more out of sorts.  His schedule has been a bit wonky lately, so it's either that, or possible teething (he's also been weird with food that's not chunks of bananas or pureed).

  • Yesterday she was screaming so hard her face was bright red and her body was locked in an arch. I had given her a few bites of apple/yogart/oatmeal baby food. Kinda wondering if it was the yogart hurting her stomach, but she didnt throw it up. We snuggles, burped, walked, a few of us were all trying. Finally put in the stroller and bundled her up to walk laps in the court.

  • Wow - yeah - that seems a bit intense for teething pain (although DS has been spared with the teething troubles, it seems).  I wonder if it wasn't something to do with the apple or yogurt.  Poor girl.  :(  I hope she feels better soon.  :(

  • Tristan gets the same way. I once held him for a 4 hour nap. Everytime I sat him down he would get hysterical and wake up right away. DH didn't believe nothing got done because I was holding our sleeping son. They are close to the same age so teething must get bad around now. Tristan has 8 teeth fully in and 4 popped through in different stages of coming in.
  • Poor little one!  DS is definitely clingier when he has teething pain.  Have you tried some tylenol or motrin to give her a little relief?  Or Hyland's - DS gets so excited when the bottle comes out so I'm sure they help.

  • I don't know if you have one or not but Tristan has a mesh feeder and he loves ice, frozen grapes and frozen bananas in it when hes teething. They were like $7.00 for two at BRU.
  • I hope she feels better soon.  Teething pain is no fun.  DS is a clinger when he hurts.  He actually sat with me for a bit at the serger and chewed on his fingers today.  I feel so bad for him, but I hate drugging him up.
  • I have wrestled her to get orajel on, her amber necklace is on all day long, and I tried to give her motrin which she opened her mouth and pour onto my bed.

Do you slice the banana before freezing?

Yes, I slice them, and put them in a gladware container and freeze. So then I can just pull a chunk out.

Frozen bananas are also good thrown in the food processor it makes a frozen yogurt consistency. Its like ice cream with out all the calories.

    Your Welcome, Anytime!

Tristan gets very excited when I get the orajel. I try to use hylands all the time but sometimes I think he needs the extra strength.

  • Hope she feels better!
