Interesting Story

On the way home from work last night I was flipping through the radio stations and heard an interesting story.  It was on a soft-rock type of station where callers tell stories and they play songs for them....usually pretty sappy stuff.

Anyway... a mom called in about her daughter, who is 15 and pregnant.  She is due any day and is giving the baby up...to her older sister who is unable to have children.  The mother of these two girls was talking about the challenges they'll face, as well as her happiness about not losing her grandchild.  I just thought it was an interesting positive spin on a bad situation.

    I actually talked to my sister about adopting her son.  She was a senior in high school and I was just about to graduate college.  I knew I was more prepared for a baby then she was.  I didn't know that I'd have trouble ttc.  My sister ended up keeping her son, but I would have taken him without thinking twice.  Its nice to be able to have a positive ending to something that can tear a family apart.

    What a beautiful story.
    Ectopic pregnancy Aug. 2008, followed by a diagnosis of two blocked tubes.
    IVF#1 gave us a BFP on 8/24/09, DD born May 2010
    Surprise, natural BFP July 2012 ended in miscarriage 9/4/12 at 10w4d
