1 lb ground beef 2 cups salsa 1 cup frozen corn 1/2 cup chopped green pepper 1/4 cup water 3/4 tsp cumin 3/4 tsp oregano 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper 1 cup cooked rice 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
Brown hamburger and drain. Add remaining ingredients except rice and cheese. Cover and simmer for about 20 minutes or till peppers are tender. Stir in rice and heat through. Sprinkle cheese over the top and replace the lid. (You can turn the stove off at this point. You just need the cheese to melt.)
1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add ziti pasta, and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes; drain. 2. In a large skillet, brown onion and ground beef over medium heat. Add spaghetti sauce, and simmer 15 minutes. 3. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Butter a 9x13 inch baking dish. Layer as follows: 1/2 of the ziti, Provolone cheese, sour cream, 1/2 sauce mixture, remaining ziti, mozzarella cheese and remaining sauce mixture. Top with grated Parmesan cheese. 4. Bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until cheeses are melted.
Brown 1lb of beef with half of a chopped onion. Drain the fat. Add 1 can of cream of mushroom soup and half a cup of sour cream (you can use low-fat) and 1 boullion cube (or any spice that you prefer). Heat to bubbling and serve over noodles.
Sautee the ground beef with diced onion, then combine with 1 can diced tomatoes and worstechire sauce. Add cooked rice into the mix. Then boil whole, cored green peppers for 3 minutes and stuff the mixture into them. Top with shredded cheese and you have yummy, healthy, low-carb stuffed peppers!
I forgot about stuffed peppers. I make mine different than PP though.
Mix up the raw beef with chopped onions, garlic, pepper, any seasoning you like, a hanful or so of minute rice (not cooked), a little bit of tomato soup. Cut the tops of the peppers off and clean out the insides. Put the raw meat mixture into the peppers then put into a deep pot. Then put plenty of tomato soup and water until it just covers the peppers. Cook on the stove about an hour or until the meat is done all the way through. The last 5 minutes or so I put cheese on top or I add it when I plate it up by cutting the peppers and meat down the middle and putting the cheese over it.
I am not one of the best cooks around and my husband LOVES this. It was his first request when he came home for his 2 weeks of leave. He is the better cook of the family.
Or nachos. I brown 1 lb hamburger and season it with the McCromick's steak seasoning--the black one. Then I put red onions in at the last second and drain the meat. Then I put the mean and cheese on the chips and microwave them. When the cheese is melted, I put lettuce and tomato on top. Delish!
I brown up the meat with whatever seasongs sound good at the time. When it is almost done I add in some store bought enchilada sauce and some cheese (either shredded or the jarred kind for dip). Put some enchilada sauce at the botton of the pan. Fill up tortillas with the mixture then roll them up and put in the pan. Once they are all rolled up pour the rest of the sauce over the top then cover with cheese. Cover and bake until heated through and cheese is nice and bubbly. I serve it with rice on the side and sour cream, olives, green onions for the top.
Not the authentic way I am sure but it's good and pretty quick. I make it the same way with chicken. I prefer chicken but if I have the beef to be used up I will make it that way too.
Sorry my recipes aren't exact lol. I just kind of go with the flow and not really follow an exact recipe so it is hard to say how I do it most time. For the enchiladas, use just enough sauce to make it wet and however much cheese you want.
1 can of cream of mushroom, sautee the beef with onion and season, add 1 cup of cooked pasta. Mix together. put in oven for 25 minutes at 350. Done. Make a salad if you want. I Don't have a name for it...
I just did this pizza pasta thing. Kind of made it up. I used ground turkey, but you could of course use ground beef, sauteed with green pepper and onion. In baking dish add-meat mix, cooked pasta, pasta sauce, pepperoni and mozz. cheese. Bake on 350 for a lil while.
