Implantation bleeding?

Hey everyone,

I haven't been on the 1st tri board in so long but am hoping to come back soon! :)

I'm curious about your experiences with implantation bleeding, since I didn't have this at all with my first pregnancy. My period is due 8/27 but on 8/18 I had one spot of bright red blood. I though to myself--great, implantation bleeding! I have continued to spot every day since, but it's been really dark brown and mucousy. Now today, still 3 days before my period is due, I seem to be bleeding like a regular period. I have never had an early period before. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

    I didnt have implantation bleeding but this sounds like early AF...it happened to me for the first time the cycle before my BFP....for your sake I really hope it's implantation bleeding though!

    yah I never had any implantation bleeding I hope that's all it is though!

    Any time I had spotting like that, AF showed up. Sometimes you just get an early period, and it sucks because it's such a disappointment. Hope to see you here soon!

    I had implantation bleeding with my first pregnancy. ?It was very light almost a pinkish color and stopped almost as soon as it started. ?I have read that it is actually very rare to have this type of bleeding. ?Sounds like yours is AF, unfortunately. ?Hope to see you here soon!

    I had implantation bleeding.  It lasted about 4 days, but was only noticed for the most part when wiping.  If you get an AF like flow I would conclude that its AF

    I had implantation bleeding with my first: it was rust colored and only lasted a day (also very light).  what you are describing does not sound like it - sorry!

    Same for me. I thought it was the onset of my period, but went away the next day and then NOTHING. I also had the same with at least one of my other pg's but not all of them (this is my 5th pregnancy)

    I had implantation bleeding w/both pregnancies.  In fact, this pregnancy I swear I got a regular period.  I was so sure that I didn't test (even tho I had an IUI) but 3 wks later I was exhausted and had nausea;  that's when I tested and it was +

    My implantation bleeding varied from brown to light pink.  It lasted a few days.
