I was wondering if anyone has used the Arm's Reach Mini Co-Sleeper? I was thinking about getting one eventually, but it seems like it'd be too low for my bed. What did you do about this problem? I heard the leg extension kit is not sturdy and will come off whenever the Co-Sleeper is moved (I plan on taking it with me to my parents' and in-laws'). It also looks as if I won't be able to use the wheels on the Mini Co-Sleeper if I attach the leg extensions??
Would this be a better option? It comes with a Close N Cozy bassinet. Has anyone used the Baby Trend Nursery Center before? I wish they'd make them in more gender neutral colors.
Re: Co-Sleeper Question
I want the AR Cosleeper, but don't have it yet. Our bed is average height so I haven't really considered the height issues.
The one you linked to also looks cute, though. If you go to the Babies R Us website you can read reviews for it... it seems well liked for the most part.
I just bought one on craigslist and thought it was missing 2 wheels! I asked a friend who has used hers for 2 years (against the warning labels btw) and she said "Huh it has wheels" I guess she didn't move it often.
You might get more use out of a pack in play since you can't use the co sleeper after then can pull themselves up. Also it's not the easiest to fold up so if you're moving it a lot that could be an issue.
Our bed is higher than most as well. They say just to get a platform with a 2" ridge around the edge to have it on.
The one thing I'm having issues with is I expected to be able to use it for longer but from what others have said the kids grow out of it fairly quickly.
So now I'm looking into other options.
We recently bought the Co-Sleeper mini. You are correct: the wheels must be taken off to use the leg extenders, and the leg extenders aren't meant to be moved around.
We have a pillow top mattress (measure just about 30"). Although we have the extender kit just in case, the Mini with the wheels on seems to be tall enough. (DH is calling the company today to be sure)
Our only other complaint about the Co-Sleeper ~ the instructions are a nightmare.
Wow, I just saw your due date- so close!!!!!!!! Congratulations!
IF you have time/energy to go to Babies R Us or BBB, you can measure the Mini Co-Sleeper there... or you can have your DH do it. =P
We are thinking about a co-sleeper too. Ours is more of a space issue. I really like the sleigh bed co-sleeper by arms reach. My hesitation with the co-sleepers is that the baby can really only be in them up to 6 months - which would mean we would need to get an additional crib at that time. Other than that thought they seem to be a great option. The Baby Bargains book rates Arms Reach an "A"
Thanks
I'm def ready to get this kiddo out! lol
Yeah, we already have the Co-sleeper and have it set up. But no where in the instructions (at least, no where we can find) does it say how the Co-Sleeper should fit next to the bed. Is the baby's mattress supposed to be level with ours? Or is it safe to have just the top of the rail be level with our mattress? We're probably just being paranoid, but I'd rather have DH call to be on the safe side. (The company does have a 1-800 number for questions, so that's a plus.)
