Hi all,
After my m/c in May I got AF on my own in June right after my first visit with the RE. She put my on Loestrin for what was to be just one month, but I ended up needing an hysterscopy, so I decided to do two months on bcp before moving forward with injections/IUI. The first month on Loestrin I got a "sort of" AF 4 days after the last active pill. I had cramps overnight and into the morning, but it was mostly discharge for like 3 days (sorry for the TMI) with a little red, but no real flow. This month it is the same deal. I had cramps last night and this morning then a bunch of reddish discharge and now nothing since about 1:00. WTF??? I called my RE and they want to do an u/s tomorrow to check my lining. I can't figure this out. AF has never been very heavy for me, but when I was on bcp before (not Loestrin) I did have a normal period. Could it be the Loestrin that is causing the problem. This really sucks because I can't figure out what CD I'm on if I don't have a real AF. Hopefully they will be able to tell me somthing tomorrow. Sorry for the long post...I'm just super frustrated that I can't even do this normally!
Re: Why can't I be normal...frustrated! (TMI)
first of all i'm sorry for your loss.
as for the light AF it's probably the BCP, that's one of the perks of BCP is light periods. but sometimes the hormones are not enough and they cause spotting the whole month and cramping as i did on Yaz and Yazmin.
Wow...I didn't know that. I wonder why they would give it to me for my in between cycles. So frustrating!
That is weird...if you google it you can see everyone reports the same thing... I know two friends on it who have the same thing. I swear sometimes you can find more info online then from you Dr.
