I am posting this really late, the past 2 weeks have been crazy! We are still finishing up our remodeling, so I have been back and forth between my house and my parents house.
On August 11, Olivia Anne was born at 9:51 pm- 8lbs 10 oz, 20 inches. I went in at 7 am for an induction. I was 85% effaced and 4 cm diliated. They broke my water at 8:15 am. At 11:00, I was 6 cm dilated, labor wasn't too bad- like really bad cramps. I asked the nurse if my contractions would get worse. She said she didn't think so. Well, at 2:30 pm, they got much, much worse. I got an epidural- which was wonderful. At 8pm, I finally got to start pushing, however, I never had the urge to "bear down." I also started to feel the contractions low in my pelvis, despite the epi. After pushing for 1.5 hours, my doc said we needed to consider a c-sec because she hadn't moved down at all and was stuck in my pelvis- I was exhausted and in pain, so I didn't even give a c-sec a second thought! Little Olivia made her appearance a few minutes later!
Here is a link to a few pictures. The last one was taken yesterday- it is amazing how much they change in a little bit of time!
