BRU registry question- hiding your registry

in 2nd Trimester

I'm not 100% sure that I will be having a baby shower. I have registered and added stuff online of things I would like to have if I had a shower, and to get a completion coupon so at least dh and I can buy the things we need at some kind of a discount. I want to keep the registry private right now anyway but I can't seem to find an option to do this. Anyone know if this could be done?

    I think you can only do that with wish lists. Maybe someone else will know.

    Otherwise put it under a fake name.

    I'd call them and ask, I know that other stores have a private option for while your building it. I'd be suprised if they didnt have an option to make it private.

    At the very least I believe you can add a password to it. People will be able to find it but not see it with out the password. It kind of hides it.

    If it's hidden, it defeats the purpose from their point of view.  (They want lots of sales.)  I'm sure that they don't have an option just to prevent people from creating it just for the coupon.  Not that it really prevents it with fake names and fake early due dates.

    i just changed my last name to private since i registered super early and wanted to change things (plus there are a lot of registry stalkers at my work). I changed it to my real name once I knew the gender and had my final items that I wanted picked out.
