Wow! What an odd thing that I forgot the check-in last week. Major apologies, ladies. Well, had my mind on DD's bday party (yesterday).. sorry!

You can be a pregnant FM as well. We can keep track of our progress through Mamahood by still eating healthy and exercising as we should. If any of you are pregnant and want to check-in with us, please let me know!

Here is the format for our weekly check-ins. I hope this makes it a little interesting for everyone...

1) Please reply with how much you lost this week and how you did it? I will update the list periodically throughout the week. If you also want to post your total weight lost, that would help me out, too! Yes

2) Please share with us any tips you have on low cal/fat snack foods you have come across, delicious healthy recipes, fun fat-burning activites (hiking, toddler aerobics DVDs, etc.) that may help others to reach their goals, etc. We love to hear them!

3) Have fun with this!! We are here to motivate one another, not stress each other out. Words of encouragement are always welcome!!

  • I thought I just missed last weeks!! LOL I think I did miss the week before though...sorry for being a bad nestie.  Anyway I have had no change which is good with all the parties and get togethers we have had this month. 

    My favorite exercise is Pilates...it's so relaxing.

    I have news to share...we were going to start TTC for #2 in October...but with some big event happening in the family next summer (Family wedding and Christening in CA) we've decided to move it up and start trying this month! I haven't hit the goal I wanted to be at before trying, but I am 15 pounds lighter than what I was when we started with DD...so that's makes me happy! 

    Hope everyone is doing well!!

  • I need to buy a scale.  I know I have lost a few lbs.
  • I'm even...which isn't bad considering I didn't work out at all last week bc my parents were here. I probably will try to work out this week but next week will be a wash bc we are going down to Mayo Clinic and I will have to use the hotel gym. Maybe I can finally get some running in! (we have no sidewalks where I live)

  • I went from wanting to puke at any and everything, to now having the most ravenous appetite. This. Is. Dangerous. (LOL) So, time to start being super careful again... and back to running again, as well. With DD#1, I ran up until I was 7 mos along, and this time, the nausea has couched me. Although I still haven't gained this pregnancy yet (which is fine b/c I have a *bit* of padding yanno), I feel like this past week of constant hunger has done me in. DD will love it, she is my little coach, "Faster, Mommy! Faaaaaster!" LOL!

    My fav exercise for all-over toning is running. By far.

    You poor thing. If your clothes are fitting better, then most likely you HAVE lost weight, girl. Go get a new scale, pronto! ;)

  • Aw........thanks Hawaii!  I am glad I am maintaining it this week.  I am still right at 35lbs down!  YAH!  My new goal is to be down 60lbs by Jan 1st.  GOOD LUCK because that is right at holiday time!  It will be a struggle I am sure but one I am ready to take on!

    Absolutely...because I'll definitely need to stick with you guys for when I am no longer a preggo FM...this has been the best "diet" I have ever been on and I owe it all to this group.

  • Ok since I'm getting serious about this now I will check in.  My new goal is 40 lbs by christmas.  I have been doing the shred every day.  DH is giving me 30 minutes plus shower time to get a workout in each day.  I have also cut out an after dinner snack.  I have been trying not to buy any junk.  This week I bought the grapes that were on sale instead of the ice cream that was also on sale. 
  • I'm on vacation this week so all bets are off.  I'll be happy to maintain for next week's check-in.

    Anyway, as of Sunday morning, I was down .8 pounds.  Not too great, but could be worse.

  • Hi - Can I join? I really haven't been on the Nest much since my little boy was born in March, but I need all the motivation I can get :-) I have a 2 yr old girl as well, which is how I ended up on this board.

    I am hoping to be down 50 lbs by March 8, 2010, which is 1 yr from when my son was born. I'm ashamed to say it, but he is 5 1/2 months and I've actually GAINED weight since he was born - BOOHISS! :-(
