Today is supposed to be the kids first visit with BM in about 3 months. They have been with us for a bout 3 weeks. She was supposed to be here at 9:30.

She hasn't shown up, called, answerd her phone.

The kids are all waiting in the living room and jump up when they hear a car or the phone ring. I want to comfort them and try to take their minds off of it but they don't want to leave to do anything in case mom shows up.

I don't know what to do...

    Oh gosh - I don't even know but poor kids! I hope she shows for their sake. Can you all go bake cookies or make rice krispie treats or something. Maybe some sort of craft or something so they are staying active.

    Oh, that's hard.

    Is there something easy to leave-behind you can do to distract them?  REad them a book?  Get out a craft they can help make?  Mad Libs?

    I agree fred. She told the kids over the phone though.

     

    but I think she and I are going to have a nice little talk soon.
