Success after IF

Bittersweet: graduated from RE today (8w0d)

Would you believe tears started to form in my eyes when I said my goodbyes to the wonderful ladies at my RE's office today? After seeing them three times a week while going through various monitoring and once a week since getting a BFP, after two years of holding me and telling me it was going to be okay, I had to leave today!

8w0d ultrasound looked normal, strong fetal heartbeat, so I "graduated" from my RE's office and will be seeing a regular OB at the 10 week mark!

I actually blurted out "I want to stay for the next 7 months!!!" at my RE. Embarrassed

This is the farthest we've gotten since we started TTC in early 2007!

  • Congrats on graduating. It is a big scary world out there when you finally get to be like every other pregnant woman out there. Kind of shell shock. I cried on the way home from my RE.
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

  • Graduating is fantastic news.  They definitely don't want to see you stick around their offices!  Congrats on moving on to the OB
