I'm in the same boat... My LMP was July 14th and FF says my EDD is April 18th but my LMP in a ticker says 4/20.
So I'm waiting to see what dates they get from the ultrasound.
BFP#1 2/23/09. Natural MC on 3/20/09 @ 8wks
BFP#2 8/10/09. Born 4/23/2010
BFP#3 2/26/12. Stick Baby Stick!
This is why I haven't put up a ticker yet. According to fertilityfriend I'm due on the 13th, and the bump said I was due the 15th. Not a big deal, but I decided to wait to see what the dr has to say before I put anything up.
Fertility Friend Due date calculator (if you are using the one that it using on the charting, not going and playing with it.) Goes by Ovulation date is more accurate than LMP. So you ovualted Later or earlier than the standard 14 day after LMP then the date will change. But a few days one way or the other isn't a big deal. Remember babies come when they are ready not the day that some person has said they need to be there.
Thanks ladies... Like I said I know it doesnt matter too much but I would like to follow the correct updates. We will see what my EDD is at my first U/S.
I could be wrong, but I think FF goes by your ovulation date.
FWIW, I adjusted my LMP to match my O date so my EDD was more accurate. It was only a day difference, but I prefered the accuracy of my O date. Didn't matter too much since I KNOW when I ovulated and they still changed my EDD because this baby is ahead developmentally and growth wise.

i think it works by adding 7 days to your LMP. so, it prob would be 4/23 :-) congrats!
For some reason, once you get to a certain point in the year, that doesn't work. According to that, my EDD should have been 12/25, but when I looked it up, it wasn't right, the chart I looked at said 12/23. I think it's in November and December it doesn't work for some reason. Didn't matter since they changed my EDD to a week earlier anyway.

Re: I'm confused... Due date.
Because FF goes by o date, not LMP
ETA: LMP assumes you o'd on cd 14

Yes they do
So should I just go by FF? Obviously its more accurate...
For now, I'd use the FF date since it goes by your O date which is more accurate. You'll get an official due date at your first u/s.
If I used my LMP, I'd be 13 weeks instead of 9! My u/s confirmed that my chart was accurate.
