ATTENTION NEWBS!!
A drive by BFP is when someone who has not posted regularly on here, sometimes not at all, announces their BFP on this board. There are several reasons this is considered annoying:
1. This board is a tight knit group of ladies who share their TTC journey together, good or bad. If the poster has only posted a few times on here randomly and not made the effort to get to know us or share with us, then why would we be happy or extend congrats to a complete stranger? Anyone who lurks on GP should know that their drive by will not be received well. Why not just go to 1st Tri?
2. A drive by BFP is considered insensitive to those who are struggling with TTC on here. Drive by's are the equivalent of walking into a room of strangers and shouting, "I'M PREGNANT!!!," and then expecting congrats. While some of you newbs may have not reached the point where a drive by annoys you yet, trust me, you will.
So, what have we learned? Drive by's are not kosher on GP, and DO NOT ENCOURAGE THEM!!!!

I'll be damned if someone is going to call us rude for calling them out.
Hells yes! I am being dry humped by a model!
I haven't been on this board long, but on another board I belong to, the thing that always gets me re: BFP announcements is when people feel the need to announce it with these disclaimers:
"We weren't even really trying!"
or
"First Time's a Charm - BFP!" <----- Actual subject heading
or
"After three long months!"
Why the need to include how easy it was for you? Just be happy with the BFP.
4 Clomid cycles + 3 IUIs w/ injectables + 1 IVF = 1 m/c, 1 ectopic
FET May 2011 = BFP! Beta 1 (8dp5dt): 336, Beta 2 (12dp5dt): 2033, Beta 3 (14dp5dt): 4706

There was someone who posted last week saying something along these longs. :Finally after 3 months" or some shiit like that.

Oh no, really? I bet that went over like a fart in church.
I've only been on this board a month, and they already annoy me.
You try too hard.
...and you are a coward and a giant pvssy fart. STFU.
Thanks for posting this.
Ugh, I lack the strength to respond to any and all BPF drivebys today. I woke up in a foul mood and taking the time and energy to reply will only cause it to worsen.
You are 100% correct. I am aiming more for the audience who does not know what they are and why no one likes them here.
