Hey there... I checked out the stroller and as long as you don't have the seat cushion on the back seat, you can lift it up with the carseat on. That gives you plenty of space to stash shopping/diaper bags and such through without taking the carseat off.
The seat cushion bulks it up quite a bit... 4-5 inches (which is the back of the cushion) and you could squeeze it up with the attachment but it's not easy and you really wouldn't want to do that. But if you're putting your carseat back there, you won't be using the back seat anyway so you wouldn't need to keep the cover on.

DH pushed it all day at the mall today and loves it as well (BTW we took the canopy off since we pretty much only use it indoors for now and the front seat is in the upright position)

and the basket is enormous!! Today I fit my large purse (about the size of an?average?diaper bag), 4 boxes of shoes (yeah... I couldn't decide so I bought them all so I could try them at home, lol) and 2 medium size paper bags from other stores which aren't easy to fold up so they stay kinda bulky. All that plus a couple of DD's toys and I still would have fit the infant carseat on top back there with no problem!
