I am soo looking forward to my babyshower! I still have quite a while to go before it's time though. I was just wondering, when is a good time for a shower? I want to have enough time to get things organized and be able to return/exchange things if necessary, so I would rather not have the shower in Feb. Then if you think about it, Jan is right after the holidays (can't ask people to spend money on baby right after Christmas, besides baby's family on the father's side have a couple weddings, and bridal shower, and some other things like that going on) Dec is Christmas, and Nov, would that be too soon? At that point I will only be 6 months along and probably not showing too too much so games like "how big is belly" wont be too interesting. I was thinking at the lastest I could do EARLY Feb, but my mom's bday is Jan 31,so that's a bit close. So I am just not sure when this could happen. Any ideas would be great!! Thanks!

January would make the most sense for you. November would be crazy early (mine will likely be Nov. and that will even be a touch on the early side and I'm due early Jan.). Paying for a baby gift post-Christmas is no more painful than pre-Christmas.
This won't apply to you other than it might help you worry less about having one too soon, but...
I'm actually having mine in October due to some interesting family circumstances. It is going to be very very early, but I can't do anything about it. I'm excited that we'll have more time to get the stuff we still need.
At last discussion we had about mine was early January. If you send out invitations early enough, people will be prepaired to buy a gift. Plus, that will still give us time to get stuff we need that we didn't get.
This.
I hate the fact that the baby shower time is right around the holidays. I have no idea when mine will be Nov. Sounds good but what week in November will give family enough time to get holiday prepared?
I think we are going to go with November. I will be just 27 weeks when they are thinking but we want to avoid the holidays and January can bring bad weather. Plus you never know what pregnancy will bring and how I will be feeling or what will be going on so we are going to play it safe. My cousin is due Jan. .8 and they booked hers for October 10 to avoid the holidays and she will be 28 weeks. I dont think it really matters.
