1st Trimester

Damn...spotting has returned

Nearly two weeks ago I had some major bleeding and clotting.  Everything turned out fine and baby measured right on track via trans-vag ultrasound.  I noticed this morning in the shower some bright red blood in my CM, but wasn't too concerned because it was such a small amount.  Well, I just used the restroom about an hour ago and there was some blood in my underwear and also a moderate amount in the toilet and after I wiped (sorry if TMI).  I am trying not to freak out, but I am scared.  I'm not having any major cramping, which is good.  What should I do?  Call my doc today or wait until Monday morning??

  • I'm sorry.  That is so stressful.  I had it happen a couple times with ds.  Both times they had me come in for an u/s to ensure that all was well....and it was.  You know that you have experienced bleeding with nothing being wrong so remember that!  I don't know what your docs oncall policy is but I would wait to call my dr's office in the am.

  • I would call your dr's office.  They'll probably tell you to come in tomorrow but it will at least put you at ease.

I had some clotting and bleeding and everything turned out fine.  GL!

  • Yeah, I'd call the doc in the AM too, b/c they'll likely want to confirm everything is OK. I had a LOT of bleeding w/DD, (heavy, clotting, prolonged), and she's a healthy, gorgeous 10mo old now.

I've also had a bit of bleeding this time (8w+) and everything still looks perfect. So, try to relax, even though that is really nerve-wracking, and check in w/your doctor. I'm sure you're fine!

  • Thanks, ladies.  It's good to know that others have through this and ended up having beautiful, healthy babies.  I think I will call in the morning.  I'll keep you posted.
