That is what everyone says to me, and it is really starting to bug. I am pretty sure it is just DH's genes, his mom is 5 foot, his dad is 5'8, and his brothers are all about 5'8. They are small people, and I tend to have small kids. It totally doesn't help that I am about 5'9, and not-skinny (not obese or anything, but I certainly am no skinny mini.) So people see the non-tiny mom and the teeny tiny baby, and have to inform me how small she is. She was 6.11 at birth, and at 3 months is around 11 pounds. She is in 25 percentile for weight, so small I guess, but the 80th percentile for height. She is just a string bean. I feed her when she is hungry, and stop when she is done, which ends up only being about 4 oz. every 3 hours. I would love it if she would eat more, but she just doesn't and I am not going to force her to eat! So what if my friends 7 week old weighs 11 pounds?! So what if she seems petite?! She is 3 months old, and wears 3 month sized clothes, so she must be right on!! AHHH!!! Okay, sorry, vent over.
Re: "Your baby is so small..." I'm getting a complex...
she sounds normal to me! Gianna is 2 months and 7 lbs. She's tiny!
It sounds like you're doing everything right. Ignore everyone else!
Size is always touchy. People are always shocked when I say DS can't sit or crawl yet, and they think he's delayed.
FWIW, I think tiny babies are ADORABLE!!! I love little peanuts.
My DD was the exact same weight at birth, and she has the outfit your LO is wearing in your siggy. I think both of our girls look really cute in it!
