I need to start thinking about what to get Oona "from" her new little sister when she is born
I thought about just getting a bunch of $1 stuff from the dollar isle at Target but then I thought, should I get something more special?? What did you guys do? Or, any ideas?
Re: Ideas/tips on toddler gift from newborn?
Is there something she has been really wanting?
Chase was really wanting some motorcycles, so that is what got him. We brought them to the hospital and Parker "gave" them to him
The only thing I can think about is one of those books on having a new little sibling and a stuffed animal to go w/it. :-
Hmm, here are my ideas: baby doll, a set of DVDs (of her favorite show), a particular toy that she has been wanting, a dress up set (and a doll to go with)...books. I hope this helps!!

I was 7 when my baby brother was born and I don't remember him giving me a gift...
Is this a recent thing? I understand giving siblings presents at other siblings birthdays because they may not understand that it's not their birthday or why they aren't getting in any gifts yet the other one is.
Is it really that important that a baby bring the older sibling a gift?
I know JLK is too young to get that its a gift from new baby really...But I am planning on getting her somethings that will keep her happy/occupied while I am busy with baby. A new small toy to stay in our room for times in there...Maybe a video or 2...and a few books for sure! ANd I will keep saying oh lets read your book from baby etc, to maybe help her lioke the baby.
I also plan to keep saying "Jennifers toys" Like big girl things like her high chair..so its not as nasty a sting when I say no to her about things for the baby..
I got JLK a doll awhile ago when we were waiting for number 2 and I plan on having her feed that baby...change her baby etc while I do the same with miracle.
