I made fruit salad the other day and I put nectarines, plums, clementines (sliced in half), grapes (sliced in half), kiwi, and cherries (sliced in half)
Apples and bananas will turn brown if you put them in it.
I did fruit salad last weekend with sliced pineapple, grapes, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries and then squeezed oranges over the top to give some more flavor...
I LOVE fruit salad and I only eat my mom's recipe.
Oranges (make sure you just put in the segments, not any of the fleshy parts...too hard to eat) the juice from the oranges coats the fruit and keeps from turning brown.
Strawberries
Apples (I peel mine but you could leave it on)
Blueberries (no need to cut up)
Kiwi
Once all the fruit is cut up, toss around with the oranges to coat. Then put about 1/4c to 1/2c plain vanilla ice cream on top. It will melt and then stir it around to coat everything. It is just enough sweetness. And the ice cream combines with the fruit juices for a great flavor.
Watermelon, pineapple, strawberries, blueberries, grapes, sometimes kiwi.
I like fruit salad with just the fruit and no sauces. It's best with the fruit cut somewhat on the large side. (Small enough for a bite but big enough to really get a fresh fruit feel.)

Typically I put in
Watermelon
Canteloupe
Honeydew melon
strawberries
blueberries
pineapple
and sometimes peaches or mango as well
whatever is in season.
I would put any yogurt/dressing on the side so that people can decide for themselves if they want it. (I like to dip fruit in poppy seed dressing)
also- if you toss with lemon juice then nothing will brown.
