Babies: 9 - 12 Months

DD didn't like puffs.

I put some on her highchair and she just moved them all around. I put one in her mouth and she made this god awful face. I thought maybe she just didn't like the texture or wasn't use to having them in her mouth so I tried another one. You would have thought I was giving her soap to eat! She did enjoy throwing them off the highchair though. I guess I will have to try them again.

Re: DD didn't like puffs.

  • DS did the same thing when I first started giving him puffs.  He just started liking them a couple days ago.  He now mashes them with this gums.

  • grant is obsessed with them. OBSESSED!
  • Owen didn't like them either. We gave the Happy Baby ones and they pretty much tasted like styrofoam. If we put a drop or two of his puree on them he would eat them. Once we gave him his first cheerio he was so happy and the puffs were gone. Now he squeals when he sees us open the box.

  • I'd keep trying them.  Will didn't like them at first, but now he eats them. I agree with the PP, the Happy Baby ones do look/taste like styrofoam and despite the label on the package don't look or taste like fruit.  You might want to try the yogurt melts.  Will likes those better, I think because they have more flavor.
  • Adam hated them at first.  I'm not sure he really likes them but at least now he will put them in his mouth now.
