heard a "new" girl name today that I think is pretty...

Kyla.

I'd never heard it before, and it's not in my baby name books but I am finding it (with history) online.. A mom at the picture place today told me my DD's name was almost the same as hers.. DD is Kylie. Her DD is Kyla. I thought it was very pretty. Just wanted to share :)

ETA: NO I'm definitely not considering it! LOL I had just never heard it before, or seen it mentioned on these boards, and I thought I'd post it since my initial reaction to it was that it was a very pretty name.

BFP 5/07 - Kylie born 2/08.       BPF 2/09 - Alexandra born 10/09.
TTC since 8/13 - diagnosed difficulty conceiving due to LP defect. Took vitamin B and Vitex Berry to help lengthen.
BFP 2/14 - Missed M/C found at 8.5 weeks. D&C at 9w2d. Partial Molar Pregnancy.

    Yeah, it is pretty. But Kylie and Kyla is def. too close.

    Oh ok, good. Ha.  They are both pretty names. I considered Kyla when I was Ku, but decided on another.

    That is my name actually.  My dad's name was Kyle so my mom thought it would be cute if we matched, lol.  I always liked having an uncommon name.

    I know someone and her daughter's name is pronounced that way but spelt Kaila

    I went to school w/ a girl named Kyla. She was an awful punk so I think of her when I hear it.

    Are you considering Kyla? imo it's a little to close to Kylie.

    I know a Kilah. I prefer Kilah over Kyla, but it's a pretty name!
