Success after IF

babymoon does not = relaxation...

Long story short, we stayed with DH's aunt who lives 2 miles from beach. Great. Fantastic. She totally left us alone it wasn't weird at all, AND she let us use her car so we didn't have to rent one.

THe problem is that she has a cat, and apparently I'm allergic. I've officialy been diagnosed with cat allergies, after a trip to the walk-in clinic b/c I couldn't breath after our first night. Severe shortness of breath, felt like I wasn't getting enough air, etc...THe good news was the dr said I WAS getting 100% oxygen, which meant baby was also.  I just tried alot of self talk LOL and kept saying it was just an allergy, baby is fine, blah blah.  Needless to say it continued throughout the week. We just tried to stay out of her house except to sleep.

Then I woke up to a contraction on Wed morning. Lovely. It was just one, and didn't hurt, but come on and cut a girl some slack.  I just wanted to be home, to be close to my dr and hospital. Sigh.

So babymoon was not relaxing for me:( Last night (in our bed at home) was the best nights sleep EVER!

  • I'm so sorry your babymoon wasn't relaxing and restful!

  • My babymoon was supposed to be this week, but the contractors fucked up the lake house renovations. Instead, we're here at home.  It sucks, so I feel your pain about a relaxing vacation that isn't.
