They fir differently...I tried on both but I prefer the fit of the beco. In addition, the Beco comes with an infant insert and the Ergo sells it seperate. The Ergo also can be used as a hip carrier and the Beco is not really for that carry.
My general impression is that smaller people and smaller babies fit the Beco better, and larger people and larger babies fit the ergo better.
Some versions of the beco have a layer of fabric between you and the baby, so it is a bit easier to get the baby in and out (maybe more dad-friendly) but I am not sure which versions are like that.
That said, I have an ergo bc I got it for cheap on CL- getting a deal was my priority.

DH and I are both 'larger' - - and DD was humungous at birth.
