What is the difference between a beco

and an ergo, besides the beco is really pretty?

Re: What is the difference between a beco

  • They fir differently...I tried on both but I prefer the fit of the beco. In addition, the Beco comes with an infant insert and the Ergo sells it seperate. The Ergo also can be used as a hip carrier and the Beco is not really for that carry.

  • My general impression is that smaller people and smaller babies fit the Beco better, and larger people and larger babies fit the ergo better.

Some versions of the beco have a layer of fabric between you and the baby, so it is a bit easier to get the baby in and out (maybe more dad-friendly) but I am not sure which versions are like that.

That said, I have an ergo bc I got it for cheap on CL- getting a deal was my priority.

    that's funny...

DH and I are both 'larger' - - and DD was humungous at birth.

We have a Beco and love it...
