Cervidil sucks - straight from L&D

in 3rd Trimester

At least it does when you are 0 dilated and have a high, tight, posterior cervix.  Got admitted about 6:00 and got the Cervidil around 6:45 - can't move around, can't eat.  Birth Plan out the window.

 Ain't gonna like, that sh*t hurt like hell going in.  We'll see if it does anything!  According to the charts and graphs next to my bed, I'm having contrax, but I am not feeling anything yet......

    Are you SURE you can't eat? My gawd, thats a long time to go without eating and you're gonna need your energy! GL!

    I imagine, that's why I'm trying to avoid an induction and hoping this little guy comes out naturally in the next week or so. GL with your labor!
    Me: 44 DH: 42. DS born healthy at 40 weeks 8/24/09. TTC since then with no luck or ART. Surprise BFP 8/6/14... MMC @ 8 weeks 4 days... Miss you everyday sweet baby angel.

    Why can't you eat or move around?  I was able to do both when I had Cervadil.

    I was not allowed to eat for almost 3 days!!!!

    They let me eat 1 hour after it was inserted.  Why aren't they letting you eat?

    Oh don't say that! I'm going in Tuesday night for the same thing and I'm just like you...not dilated with a super high cervix! AHH!

    I had cervadil with both of my inductions and they worked like a charm. You will be surprised how well it will soften your cervix.  Good luck!!!
