My DH and I like the name Lily, but think that it is getting too popular and may not be a great "grown up" name. So...we thought Liliana would work. Is this too popular as well?

You can check to see if in your area the name is popular. There aren't too many being born around me, but even so if I liked the name I'd still use it.

Yes, Lily is very popular now (but it's a great name). ?Lilliana is very pretty and not as common.

Lily is very sweet but def. too popular right now...I like Lianna better than Liliana, Layla is similar and cute.

Lily works fine on an adult.

All forms of Lily are pretty hot right now. I don't really see the point of naming her Liliana to avoid popularity issues if you're just going to call her Lily anyways.

Not to rain on your parade, but Liliana is very popular in my neck of the woods (Central Texas). It is very popular among the hispanic culture. At my junior high I know of 4 Lilianas, and I know of 2 - 3 coming up this year to the 6 grade. It's just very popular right now, as are all the "Lily/Lillian" variations. But use it is you like it.

I like Lily and hate Lilliana. Then again I really could care less if I name my child the most popular name. It's my kid and if I like a name I'm going with it Stick out tongue
