Ameda Purely Yours Question

I just got my Ameda Purely Yours pump yesterday and it seems really loud.  The pump I was using before was a hospital rental (Medela Symphony 2) and was really quiet.  Along with the pumping noise there's also a noise that sounds like beeping every time it pumps.  Is this normal?  If it is, that's fine because I'm able to pump the same amount of milk in half the time with this pump over the hospital rental but I just want to make sure the noise is normal.  TIA!

    Sounds pretty normal.  My pump is pretty loud.  But it works, so I can't really complain.  At least the noise keeps people from walking in on me at work.  LOL!

    Yes, the Ameda is known to have the beeping noise.  I have no idea why but that's just the way they're made.  I've heard the newer models do not.
