Did you buy your bedding or wait for the shower?

We are putting together our crib this weekend, but my shower is in October. Did you hold out till your shower or did you break down and buy bedding yourself?

    My MIL is buying my bedding and I don't really know when she is going to get it.  If I was buying it I would have already gotten it...before my shower, which is in October also.  I don't think I would be able to wait if I was the one buying it :)

    My mom is buying our bedding this weekend and we are buying the accessories. I wanted to go ahead and get that set up and didn't want to wait for the shower.?

    I am buying my own! I want to make sure everything goes well together. The crib bedding, paint and furniture. My shower isn't until November. I find out the sex on Aug/25. We are started the nursery shortly after that.

    We're not getting a set, and I'm making a lot of stuff myself, and getting a piece or two from PBK.  Probably not... there are so many other things to register for, I think we're just going to stick with other stuff.

    we will be purchasing the bedding bc i'd like to get started on the decorating ASAP.  the room is going to be based around the bedding i want. :)

    We bought the bedding ourselves. I ended up falling in love with a set that has been discontinued, so our only option was to buy it on eBay anyway.

    Plus I'm impatient and wanted to start on the nursery. ;)

    Ok, I just broke down and bought it. I hope I like it! It has blue and pink in it...but is mostly brown, but since we are on team green, we should be fine.

    The online reviews were funny...

    "too much blue for our little girl..."

    "way too much pink for our boy..."

    Um, both colors are in there people. ?

    With my first, I bought the bedding myself.  It wasn't available at the store I registered at.

    I bought it. We've gotten almost everything already. The only "big ticket" item we'll have on our registry is the high chair.

    I did register for it and I sent my mom my registry and was emphasizing that I really wanted this exact set...she hinted to my grandma, who in turn ended up buying the whole set for me online (she's big into online shopping, luckily) for cheaper than what Target had it for.  So, I took it off y registry and it worked out.  I won't get it until my shower though.
