I called 2.5 hrs ago about a skin irritation on B- Last time I called (a month ago) I was never called back.
I am trying to switch peds, but for now this is who i've got, and I wonder how long do you give the dr. to call back before you call again? (I realize this is non-emergency and all, but I dont want them to not call like last time and have the weekend to wait)
Re: How long do you give the Ped. to call back?
The girls at the call center say: They have 24 hours to call you back"
Our pedi said to call him again if I havent heard back in 2. He also gave me his desk number. Although he never picks up I can leave him a message and he says the "blinking light" always gets his attention. (more so than a note left on is desk.
What time do they go to lunch? Did you call during that time? I would wait an hour after the lunch hours to call again. Ours closes from 1-2:30 daily.
our ped has nurses available during business hours to talk to, they answer the calls and give advice. during non-business hours there is an answering service, either a nurse or doc calls you back within the hour (the service normally says to call back if you havent heard from them within the hour)
our insurance also has a 24 hour nurse line.
