70 % effaced

and 0 dialation at my 37wk appt yesterday! Whoo hoo.. We have progress.

I really hope she comes on or around her due date. I still have so many things to get done. But, it's really nice to know my body is preparing for birth.

I did read last night while googleing (sp?) that when you are 80% effaced to expect labor with in a week??? Any truth to this?

    At 36 weeks I was 3cm 80% effaced.  At 37 weeks I was 5cm 80% effaced.  Little Nathan came at 38 weeks.  I think it was the combo of effacement and dilation that did the trick though!

    I was 80% effaced at my 37 week appointment....no labour here. :(

    NOOOO NOT AT ALL. I was 3 cm and 80% effaced from 36 weeks till 3 days before my due date. Don't believe any of it. But that is great that you have progress.

    I was 2cm 80% at 37 weeks, 3cm 80% on Tuesday... no baby yet.

    In my experience it def wasn't true..i was a 1 and 80% effaced with my son for weeks.. i was induced at 39wks and still wouldn't diatate over a 2-3 until they gave me the epidural and broke my water!         Everyone is different but I wouldn't expect it that soon..  but u just never know!!

    No, do not expect labor to start within a week when you are 80% effaced. Every body is different, every person is different.
