Now that Nemo's right "fin" is out...

It's been kinda of funny watching her compensate for not having her dominant hand available. The 1st couple of days she's been trying to sign with it, and seems to have no idea she can't. Otherwise she does not use it, not even seem to try. It just hangs there. She won't use it to push things, like her buggy, even though she can. Her left hand has totally taken over all duties.

I've always kinda been ambidextrous, maybe not in the true sense but pretty close, and she's only one, so it's not like she's hs 20 years of Right Brain Left Brain training going on here to reverse, but it is kinda interesting to watch. She does not even show people it, she shows them her toys or something else, not her arm. Still does not seem to care it's on there, although last night she was mad at the world and ready to play at 3am for whatever reason. uugh.

Anywho, just some random observations from the broken fin of one year old. The prep work around food and water has already gotten old though, le sigh.

    I guess thats what they mean when they say kids are resilient little creatures lol

    They are always telling us at work that a short fall won't hurt them but one of girls broke her arm by falling slipping off a turtle sandbox and those things are barely off the grown. 

    It still sucks that she has to go through any of this but I'm glad she's taking it in stride :)

    ok, I'm pouting. someone needs to notice the nemo stripe I put on her cast ;-)  lol... (it's just photoshopped, Davez wouldn't let me ink it on).
