How do I get this kid to wear shoes?

DS is a walking maniac right now, but he FLIPS THE EFF OUT when we put shoes on him.

It's going to start getting colder and he's going to *have* to wear shoes soon, but I don't know how to handle this.

I like privacy. A lot.

    Are you putting sandals or tennis shoes on him?  DD would freak out when we put sandals on her feet when she first started walking.  I had to put tennis shoes with socks on her.  Now she wears sandals all the time.  Other than that just try soft soled shoes.  He might think their socks.

    Does he like socks?  If he likes socks, then try the Bical Grippers.  They are socks with shoe-like soles. My DS loves them, but he does wear shoes as well.

    DD hated her shoes until we put the bells on them. She got such a kick out hearing them when she walked. Now, DS hates the bells, but likes the shoes luckily. (lucky for me too-warning, the bells are so annoying)

    Joseph was like that. I couldn't bolt shoes to his feet. It's just been a matter of consistency. That and "I know you want to play in the yard, but you have to wear shoes if you want to do that. " He's pretty good about shoes now, and I never thought that would happen.
