Sticky Situation

This post isn't as gross as the title would suggest.  My MIL and I live next door to each other.  It's really not a problem because we get along great.  She knows that the doctor cleared us to TTC again, but she doesn't really know that we are actively TTC.  I really don't want her to because I'm afraid that she'd need constant updates and we don't plan on telling anyone I'm KU again until I'm past the first tri.  Anyway, we're co-babysitting my neice and nephew this afternoon/evening.  They're spending the night.  DH will get home after they arrive.  We need to BD at some point today.  It's crucial. 

What's a good excuse I could use to get her to keep both of the kids at her house and give me and DH at least 45-60mins alone?  (DH takes forever!)

    Start a project with them at her house then sneak out.......

    They'll get bored and run over to my house unless I specifically ask her to keep them with her.

    I would just tell her that there is something you really need to get done, and it will only take about an hour, and if she could help you out, that'd be great. Hopefully she won't ask any questions. If she does and you don't mind lying, just make up something- you have to clean or whatever.

    If you are not against lying (frankly, I'm not sometimes), tell her you have an "upset stomach" and could she just watch them while you "deal with it?" I'd be surprised if she pushed for further details.  GL with the BD!

    tell her you have something on the stove you forgot about, or your baking a surprise for them.

    Tell her you have to run a quick errand and drive your car around the corner. Then you could sneak back in.

    Can you do the deed later tonight after they've gone to sleep? Quiet kitty-cat sex is no fun at all but might be less uncomfortable than getting interrupted or MIL nosey questions.

    This is kind of tough, if your MIL is anything like mine who would thinks things beyond superfical stuff only because she cares.

     

    Maybe tell her that you simply need a 45 min break to relax?

    Is it bad that I only looked at this post with one squinted eye because of the title? I was thinking it was somehow related to your ice cubes from yesterday....  

    Not to make light of your problem, but I was so relieved to see that the stickyness had nothing to do with melting j!zz. :)

    I like the idea of driving around the corner and sneaking in - then you can add some roll-playing to your FWP. Like you're sneaking in to rescue him :)
