So, this Monday when I went to get dressed for work, my pants were too tight. :-( So, all week I've been dying sucking myself in and wearing dresses some days to help. I'm usually a size 0/2, so I thought I would be able to wear my clothes for much longer. I went to find some new pants a couple sizes bigger, but didn't have much luck. I'm planning on getting a bella band, but I haven't told work yet, so I can't actually wear it! ugh...
Just curious about when others had this problem and what you did?
Re: When did you grow out of your clothes?
I have a bella band and have worn it a few times with different pants. For the most part my regular pants fit, it's not always the most comfortable but it works. Some of my tops are snug, thanks to the boobs growing (i am not complaining abotu that one at all!). I have a few pairs of maternity capri's that a friend lent me, I may try those this weekend and see how the feel.
I wear scrubs at work, and I think this was my last week in my non maternity scrubs, I cant wear them any lower and there is no more give in the waist, so I may move on to the maternity scrubs (pants at least) next week.
I can still get away with wearing a few pairs of pants to work, I just can't button them all the way up. Lately I've just been wearing a lot of cotton, flowy dresses and skirts in pre-preg. sizes that stretch. I can still get away with wearing some pre-preg. shirts, but almost all my work shirts are maternity. I started buying maternity shirts around 19w, because I felt like my other ones just weren't long enough.
BTW, hokiefan04, are you a VT alum? My DH graduated from there in 2005
Thanks for all the tips ladies. I think I'll try to get a bella band this weekend and see if I can make it work.
And, yes,I am a proud Hokie! Mktg c/o 2004. Glad to see some other Hokie spirit on The Bump! I can't wait for football season to start!
