INSURANCE VENT!

So my boss decided that he couldn't afford for me to have insurance anymore, so he cut my hours from 40 to 39 and made me ineligible. This worked out because DH has better insurance that I could only get on if I couldn't get it through my own employer. Keep in mind, boss doesn't know I'm pg yet, just that we were trying and seeing fertility docs.

So the switch happened on 8/1. However, my dermatologist charged me my old co-pay, and they owe me $20, that I can't seem to get back. My enrollment in the baby program with the insurance company was cancelled (it's the same company, but a different plan), and so now I have to re-enroll and wait for the forms for reimbursements for our classes, etc.

When I just called, they told me that this card only covers medical, not prescription, dental, or vision... which we're signed up for. And they don't have any records of who our other benefits are through. So DH has to try to get ahold of HR today to find out why HE has a prescription card, but I don't, and who the heck do we have vision and dental benefits through?!? Afterall, we are paying for the additional benefits!!!

I need a nap now...

    Don't you just hate insurance issues??? Then again I'd much rather deal with it this way then have to try and deal with it through the govt!! I think I'll join you for that nap, sounds like a good idea.

    That sucks! Hopefully it was just an oversight on the part of the HR dept and can get fixed asap.

    How frustrating!! Our insurance just decided that I don't have a co-pay up front for my OB visits... we'll just get a huge bill at the end of the pregnancy. Ugh!
