Q about PP bleeding...

i've got a call into the nurse at my dr. office..but i wanted some opinions from you all...

I had an unexpected c-section but have healed just fine...I have had a couple off odd episodes, I guess you could call them, of bleeding. I had stopped bleeding for the most part and just had some very light brown discharge (old blood i guess?) so DH and I had some sexytime. after that I started bleeding...I thought maby it was because I was dry. That has happened twice now...the bleeding after sexytime, so we have stopped for now.

Last night though, I woke up to more bleeding. Hadn't had sex, nothing going on down there. It wasn't a lot but I thought i should've stopped all discharge from the baby by now. I'm kind of confused...any thoughts?

    It sounds normal to me.  My bleeding stopped and started several times since about 3 weeks.  At times it was just dark spotting, at other times it was brighter and/or heavier (even passed a clot at 4 weeks).  It finally just stopped at 7 weeks.

    I got AF 5 weeks PP after a c-section.  About 2 weeks after my pp bleeding stopped.

    I had what I would call the normal PP bleeding for ~2-3 weeks.  Then, after that I would bleed for a day or two then have nothing for 3-4 days then have brownish discharge for 2-3 days and then nothing and then pinkish discharge for a couple days... it was really strange.  I had that randomness until 6 weeks PP.  Then, since 6 weeks PP I haven't had anything. (I'm 9 wks PP now.)

    I called the OB and asked them about the weird episodes and they said that it was normal to be irregular for up to 6-8 weeks.  And they told me that if you are BFing that it could go on longer than that because while BFing your ovulation may not be regular which can throw your cycle off.
