So I'm taking a pg test today even though it's too early... I'm going away this weekend for my bday and want to know if I can drink or not! Not that I'll be doing crazy drinking, but I'll feel better having a drink if I know the test was ng.
So I know it's been posted before a while ago, but I was curious - how many people follow "Drink 'til it's pink" and drink in the 2ww?
Re: Drinking in the 2ww
So far I have followed the "Drink 'til it's pink" rule. However, when I've been in the 2ww I don't drink as much as I would before O.
Do you have a chart? How many dpo's are you?
Sorry, I don't know why I didn't see that before. Guess the coffee hasn't kicked in yet.
9 dpo is pretty early to test, I'm not sure what the percentage is, though. I think Pieces of Flare still has that info in her siggy.
I know the percentages are low (like 50% or less I think), and I'm pretty sure I'll get a ng, but I'll feel better having a glass of wine if I at least tried a test.
Basically I'm coming off the longest cycle ever (for me), and I'm really feeling stressed and anxious and aggravated about this whole cycle. I was about to start medication to start my period (can't remember what it's called), but I told my dr. I'd rather wait because (hopefully) I really did ovulate this time.
Not that drinking will make anything better, but I'd like to have a glass of wine and not have to explain to everyone why I'm not if there's nothing to explain. I feel like I've had more conversations about this cycle than you could imagine - with everyone from my dr. to my mom to DH, and I'm kind of sick of talking about it (that's what happens when family knows you're trying!). Of course I'd rather be pg - that's what I'm REALLY hoping for, but I'm feeling a tad bit negative after this cycle.
This exactly. I will have a glass of wine or something but I don't pretty it up like I do on CD1. It's about what you're comfortable with.
I always drank in the 2ww. I just continued everything as normal.
