I know this is stupid, but it's keeping me awake. I'm staying with my parents for a wedding we have on Saturday, so my sister and I went shopping for a dress for myself today (because I still can't fit into any of my pre-pregnancy dresses -- ugh!). Anyway, I found a really cute (or at least what I thought was cute at the time) dress. I got all the accessories and came home and proudly tried it on for my mom. She laughed at me and said I look like a little girl. What do you think? Is this totally dorky and too childish -- it's so my style (Anthropologie-ish), but now I'm really self-conscience about it. I realize this type of dress isn't everyones "style" or "taste" but if you saw me wearing this at a wedding, would you be silently whispering to whomever your with about how awful it is? Feel free to flame --- I need to know. I only have one more shopping day left to get something else if it's that bad. TIA
Re: NBR: Need your opinions on this dress (PIP)
not harsh...i asked...and wanted to know too. :-)
Sorry, but I agree with this. What about something like this

It's lind of a similar style but not so kiddish looking. It'd be cute with leggings too!
That is cute. Too bad my parents live in a tiny town that doesn't have an Old Navy. Oh well...hopefully I'll find something.
That's what I was thinking. I think it's those 2 things in white that are making it look so kid-like. If it were a different color dress with black leggings and flats I think it would look better
