When DD started going to daycare they painted all the little girls' toe nails. When they showed me the first day I was a little upset because they didn't ask me. Now that she has been there a while they do it weekly. I think it is cute and I am glad they spend so much time playing with and holding her.
Anyone else's DC paint DD's toes? What do you think?

Re: Painted Toe Nails
i would be annoyed if they did it without asking - that is odd.
it's a cute idea- but still, without asking = taking a big risk for allergic reactions, pissed off parents, etc.
I think it's cute and not ashamed to admit that I would love to do that to my girls but no way in hell would they stay still for that long for me! LOL You must also know that I got my girls' ears pierced at 5 months. (my mom had mine done at 6 months--plus she was a Latina and that is more common in that culture)
All that being said, I probably would be a bit surprised if that happened without me being asked first but I would be totally ok with that.
Daycare does do it. Not with DD, she won't sit still for it, but if she would, it wouldn't bother me one bit that they did it. I think its super cute.
I'd be irritated... but only because painting her toe nails is how I bribe her to let me cut them!
In general, DD seems to sit still better for them than for me. They will fix her hair if it gets messed up and say she never fidgets at all for it! She usually comes home looking cuter than when I took her in.
