After 8 weeks off I return to work tomorrow and I am so not prepared for it. MIL is watching her tomorrow and then she starts her sitters on Monday, I diddn't imagine it would be this hard. I have no clue how I will get thru 8 hours tomorrow.
((hugs)) I went back today, but only for a half day and I'm off tomorrow (we had an important staff meeting I needed to be at). I start back every day on Monday. I won't lie, I cried in the car on the way in, and I expect I will again on Monday. But once I was there, it was great to gush about Megan and how wonderful she is. I was such a proud momma and showing her pictures to everyone. And work was actually enough of a distraction to keep me from thinking about her constantly, though I did think about her a lot. I also called the babysitter to check on her, which I've done every day this week during the transition. It's nice just to know if your LO is eating/napping normally.
Hang in there! It will be rough, but you'll survive. And when you get home and see that smile, it makes you forget all about work!
ditto everyone barnstar said. Take pictures with you.. everyone will want to see, and it will give you a chance to gush about her all day.
I just went back on Tuesday and it was hard, but Robbie did fine. The 2nd day was a bit harder, he was a bit whiny about me leaving, and that made it really hard.. but today went great again..
