Stupid plug question (and way TMI)

in 3rd Trimester

So DH & I were having some lovin' and when we were done I was wondering if my plug came out- it was bigger than a quarter in size and looked kind of mucus-y but it was white-ish and I thought that the plug was usually pink or brownish.... anyone know if it can be whiteish or clear? This sounds totally dumb because it could have just been semen it just seemed different...even DH wasn't sure....

Help me out ladies!

    Clearish sounds right, I have even heard yellowish is normal.

    What you are describing sounds right...mine has been kinda icky yellowish-whitish-greenish too...

    Well in that case my plug has fell out more than five times in the three weeks.

    I never even lost mine all at once, but I had pieces come out.... and they looked like I had a bad case of a yeast infection.

    Sounds perfectly normal! And um, this is a pregnancy board... if people can't deal with mucus plug questions and think it's TMI.. lol, they need to get over it.

    No big deal if you did. It really means nothing, and can even regenerate before you go into labor. Don't worry 'bout it.

    The first time I lost mine it was mostly clear, but a had a hint of brown in it. I lost it 4-5 weeks ago after an internal.

    Now I am starting to lose it again and it's mostly clear. But today has a little bit of blood in it. I really hope this is a sign of labor.

    My doc said it can be clear, brown, yellowish, read. It really just depends. But if it's a clump of gooy stuff then I'm sure it's it.

    Yeah, I'm not worried about it or anything it just surprised me a little :)

    But I just wasn't sure since I've heard it's supposed to be pinkish or brownish- I googled it too and it said that if it is pinkish or brown that it's a sign that labor is close....since mine was whitish I'm guessing I have awhile left lol....

    It can also be stringy... like the insides of a pumpkin when your carving it , with some blood tingy color
