when Jake was just 9 days old he developed a fever and we had to take him to the hospital. They found out he had a UTI and we needed to stay for 3 days. He's all better now (besides all the testing we're still going through), but here's a pic of him and his little IV
(Thinking of Ava's little cast made me want to share this)

Re: wanna see something sad? PIP
Oh poor boy! Hope he is feeling better soon.
DS had to have an IV and was splinted like that at about the same age, it just makes them look so little & vulnerable.
((hugs)) to all of you!
Eli had one too!

Poor baby! I hate that they have to splint them like that.
DD had one on her arm when she was in the nicu. The poor thing kept trying to suck her thumb, even though she had the splint. It was so sad to watch her try to get at it.

poor little guy!
ginny had the same thing after being diagnosed with jaundice. the doctors made us leave the room to put in the IV. the veins are so small at that age and it can take many attempts (with lots of tears) to find a vein. I cried my eyes out.
