Reason # 8734892389470 to breastfeed

I needed a nap so bad (and Gavin wasn't interested in one) that I sat in the glider and nursed him for half an hour just so I could close my eyes and take a little catnap!

  • I know!  It's great.  If only I could master breastfeeding while laying down!  Is Gavin still waking up lots throughout the night?

Prop your arm with pillows and lean to the side..;)

  • What do you mean? I have never been successful at this!  What is the secret?

  • I have tried the position in that pic, but it doesn't really work for me.  It is hard for me to get him on and it feels all awkward!  I wonder what I am doing wrong.  Kash wakes up to feed like 3 times a night so I have been trying to do this forever.  I wonder if I am too small???
  • I've never got that to work either....He's been waking up a few times during the night, but getting himself back to sleep.  I've only been getting up once with him the last couple weeks (around 3 am)
  • Go with what the pic shows but try adding some pillows under him to prop him up higher..also I have done a lean on pillows half propped up -and do a cross hold -then slowly roll to the side once latched. Just like bf'ing itself it takes some adjusting as it's trial and error!
