No, no, no. The name that DH and I love for a boy is also a city in many Latin American countries (a popular saint). Because of this alone, we shied away from any other girl or boy names that could possibly have a city named after them. It's too weird to have a city theme, IMO.
Why not? It's no different than Brooklynn, Savannah, Dakota, etc. Isn't that what we're all after? To choose something unique and ahead of the trend? I say go for it!
I'm sorry, but I don't like any of them as names even though you wouldn't call them by the full name. Those cities are too well known. A middle name might not bother me so much, but it seems like you could find another way to honor Canada in their name (more subtly) if you're really set on it.
I am a huge fan of different names. London and Ireland are both names that I love! So while I should be on your team here, I just don't like the sound of pretty much any of those names
Calgary is tolerable....I guess
I would say go back to the drawing board

I am not a fan, but if you like it, so be it. I would go for Winnipeg or Calgary. BUT DEFINITELY NOT Vancouver...ugh! And Toronto sounds way too much like Tonto!
Re: WDYT these names
Maaybe just the nicknames...but a Canadian city theme is pretty ridiculous, I'm sorry.
This. ?Pick one. ?Do not do a theme of Canadian town names.?

Do your kids a favor and do not make it a "theme".
Just pick your favorite and use that. I vote Calgary, I guess.

How about Alberta? But I'm partial to that name! It's where I live!
