tight fitting clothes. LOL.

This is by far my favorite annoying comment I have gotten thus far. According to the lady in the cereal aisle, it is trashy for me to wear clothes that are fitting. I should be in large clothes that hide my pregnancy. I told her she was nuts and that when it is 100 degrees I will gladly sport tank tops and shorts.

I think that is just the mentality that many older people have. I had to laugh when you posted this because my MIL bought me a maternity top that basically looked like a big red tent on me. I told her it was too big and that i usually wear clothes that are a little more fitted than that. She said she didn't even think that it would be too big because when she was pregnant 16yrs ago, pregnant people just wore very loose fitting clothes so you couldn't tell you were pregnant. Times just change, i guess

I personally love my form fitting t-shirts with the side ruching from MM. I feel gigantic when I wear the flowy shirts, although some days they are more comfortable. More power to you! Enjoy your form fitting clothes!

The comment I always get is "I wish I could have worn that when I was pregnant - you look great!" Don't know if they're lying or not, but I feel good when they say it to me in my tanks and shorts.

I think you ran into my MIL! She seriously told me when I first got knocked up that she wasn't sure how I was going to dress but she doesn't like the new trend of wearing maternity clothes that fit and show your stomach. I didn't give it much second thought until she offered to take me shopping for maternity clothes at the beginning of 2nd tri. On our way to the store she said it again although this time she said "are you going to want to get more shirts like this (as she pointed to the shirt that I was wearing) because I just don't like the tight fitting maternity clothes." I made sure that almost everything I got that day "fit." lol.

Happy 35/35 by the way!!!

ugh! I get this from my mother not in a mean way..but she says how different it was when she was pregnant that women didnt wear tight shirts that they wanted to hide their bellys. My thoughts are I want people to know I am pregnant not fat...okay well that I am fat because I am pregnant!haha and why should we have to hide the fact that we are growing a human being within us!????
