DD has a bumpy rash

on her bottom and it goes out onto her legs.  It is red and bumpy and I am not sure what it is from.  She has not had anything new to eat and it does not look like a diaper rash...it is raised.  Is it possible that it could be a heat rash?  Would you wait a few days to call the doc if it doesnt improve?

Re: DD has a bumpy rash

  • My guess would be a heat rash. I would probably keep her cool, dry and in cotton for a day or two before calling the pedi. Poor little girl.. hope it clears soon.

  • DD has this on the border of her diaper area and leg, only on the right side though.  It comes and goes and it is bumpy and raised, our pedi said it was heat rash.  We have been putting a dab of cortisone cream on it every now and then and it seems to help.  GDLK!
