  We're going in tomorrow too and I'm sooo worried about the aftermath. 2 months shots = crazy baby for 24 hours for us.

  DS did way better at 4 mos than at his 2 mos shots.  For the 4 mos, he cried at the initial pain of the 1st shot and then a little longer after the 2nd injection (that particular vaccine stings.) 

  By the time I got him dressed, chatted with the PHN and made my way to my car to go home, he was asleep.

  DD cried hard during the shots (almost making me cry), but stopped as soon as they were over and I picked her up.  She was a little fussy for the rest of the day, but other than that, was perfectly fine.  She was not as sleepy as she was post-2month shots.

  His were yesterday, so far he's doing ok. Slept really well last night!

  DS didn't cry all that much at the doctor's office. He got his shots around noon, but then at 6 p.m., he woke up from a nap in a dead scream, and went on screaming for several minutes (maybe 5-10). I couldn't get him to nurse, and I couldn't calm him down. It was awful! But finally he settled down enough to nurse, and that was pretty much the end of it. He didn't have anymore episodes like that. We gave him infant Tylenol every 6 hours for the first 24 hours, so his first dose may have been wearing off around then.

  So, that was the only side effect for us. Short-lived, but dramatic!
